Hollies Tribute Bands: The Berries
The Berries are the only Hollies tribute band in the UK. They got together in 2007 with the intention of re-creating the bands timeless songs totally live. All members of The Berries have over 20 years experience entertaining audiences around the world including the Dorchester Hotel in London, Blenheim Palace and The Wyvern Theatre.
Dave is the frontman of The Berries with a voice that is the envy of many. He sings effortlessly and has worked in many bands over the years not only as a lead vocalist but also as an accomplished bass guitarist.
Graham is a superb guitarist who recreates the authentic sixties sounds required for The Berries show using electric, six and twelve string acoustic guitars. His versatile vocal skills help to create the unmistakable Hollies harmonies. Graham has experience as a sound engineer which has helped tremendously when trying to capture their unique live sound.
Chris is a phenomenal drummer with a knack for picking out intricate harmonies and blending vocals. A true professional who brings that solid backbone and driving force to The Berries. His musical experience includes pop, soul, dance band and stage shows.
Brian toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe in the 60's & 70's and has worked on the same bill as many name attractions from that era including The Barron Knights, The Equals, The Swinging Blue Jeans & The Rubettes. A superb bass player with his ‘high harmonies’, he is equally at home working in the studio or live on stage.
Paul is the proud owner of a fine collection of vintage guitars and is responsible for re-creating to perfection the original sounds and lead guitar styles of Tony Hicks from the Hollies.
Andy is a true professional who pays great attention to detail in creating the orchestrations that the original Hollies hits were renowned for. Not only is he an amazing keyboard player he is also a talented guitarist and has worked all over the UK during his career in the music industry.
The Berries playlist includes everything from the Hollies driving early sixties pop to their soulful, haunting ballads of the seventies and the list is continually updated. Songs performed include: I'm Alive, Carrie Anne, Bus Stop, He Ain't Heavy, The Air That I Breathe plus many more.
The Berries have their own concert quality sound system, stage lighting and sound engineer.
