Showaddywaddy Tribute Bands: The Heartbeats

Showaddywaddy tribute band ‘The Heartbeats’ formed in 2007 after two of the members successfully toured in a similar band in Spain the previous year, wowing audiences at venues like "The Talk of The Town" in Benidorm and various other top cabaret clubs in the area.

The Heartbeats have worked with bands like White Lightning from Manchester, Swinging Blue Jeans, Gerry and The Pacemakers, Jigsaw, Sweet Sensation, Shaking Stevens and Bad Manners to name but a few. They have also made numerous television appearances with various bands that they have been involved with over the years.

Gary and David have a background in producing and writing their own music and have released their own song. They both play a selection of instruments (e.g. guitar, keyboards and saxophone) and also use studio quality backing tracks to reproduce some of the sounds. This allows them more freedom to move around on stage and perform the all too familiar Showaddywaddy step routines.

Glynn has performed throughout the UK and Europe singing and supporting many bands and artists from Englebert Humperdink to The Searchers. He is the main front man in the group.

Steve, the fourth member of the band plays guitar and sings vocal harmonies and lead vocals.

Gary and Steve have been in bands together and recorded a cover version of the Jimmy Cliffe number "You Can Get It If You Really Want".

"The Heartbeats" are perfect for weddings, private parties, corporate functions, theatre shows, conferences, festivals, etc.
