David Essex tribute act (Christopher Nott) appeared as a finalist on Granada TV’s “Stars In Their Eyes” and has toured extensively throughout Great Britain and Europe performing this sensational tribute to David Essex. After leaving school at the age of sixteen Chris joined a group called ‘Snaps’ as their lead vocalist, they had a recording contract with Charisma Records. Together they released a couple of singles, did a nationwide tour and featured in the trendy teenage magazines of the time.
He signed his first solo record deal at the age of nineteen and his second at the age of twenty four with Polydor and worked with some of the most talented producers and musicians in the world, including: Simon Cowell, Pete Waterman, Shakin Stevens and Lenny Henry.
Christopher wrote his own Pop gossip page for IPC Magazines and did a few TV shows, including the legendary “Tiswas”.
He started performing live again in 1995 when he was approached to front a soul band (The Soul Traders), it was shortly after this that he auditioned for ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ where he performed to a viewing audience of 10 million.
