Mariachi Tribute Bands: Mexteca

Mexteca are undeniably the UK’s No.1 Mariachi tribute band, they live in London and perform all over the world. The band is comprised of an ensemble of authentic Mexican musicians and singers. The band leader (Salvador Jimenez Hernandez) was born in the bustling city of Guadalajara, Mexico, the birth place of the Mariachi. In 1980 he entered the School of Music at the University and specialised in Mariachi instruments and vocals. Salvador is the lead vocalist and plays several instruments including the guitarron, vihuela, guitar and accordion. Mexteca came to life in 2002 and ever since then they have performed at many high profile events throughout the UK, Europe and internationally. They’ve been honoured to play for members of the Royal family, an assortment of British and Hollywood celebrities at private and public functions including film premieres and BAFTA awards ceremonies. They’ve also appeared on national television and radio and in magazines and newspapers.

Mexteca are very flexible, they can perform as a quintet all the way down to one solo singer and all the way up to a 12 piece. It doesn’t make any difference whether you want one song to serenade your partner or a full length Mariachi show with the full band.

Let Mexteca entertain you with their vibrant, colourful and cheerful sound of the Mariachi.
