1940’s Tribute Acts: The Memphis Belles

The Memphis Belles are one of the UK’s most sought after swing tribute acts covering music from the 1940’s and 1950’s era. Stunning live vocals, slick choreography and fabulous costumes.

The founding member (Claire) decided to bring the Memphis Belles to life because of her passion for the swing music of the forties and fifties and for her love of three part harmonies.

Each member of the band has extensive musical experience, Claire has worked with The Commitments and been a live presenter for NUTS and FHM magazine club tours. Alice has worked with lots of top function bands and performed at many prestigious venues including the Birmingham NEC. Katie is the lead dancer of the Memphis Belles and has performed as a professional dancer in theatres throughout the UK and Europe for many years.

The girls sing songs made famous by acts like The Andrews Sisters, The Maguire Sisters, Vera Lynn and Rosemary Clooney to name a few. The Memphis Belles are available for all kinds of work including weddings, private parties, open air concerts, military bases, theatres, etc.

Let the Memphis Belles take you on a nostalgic trip back in time to an era that time still hasn’t forgot and never will if the girls have anything to do with it.

“The Memphis Belles were amazing, really spot on with bringing the atmosphere back to the1940’s at Bedford hospital for the 65th anniversary of the NHS” – Frank Fiore
