Kings of Leon Tribute Bands: Kings of Lyon

The Kings of Lyon played their debut gig in February at a venue in Harrogate and it was a huge success. Two hundred and fifty tickets were sold filling the venue to capacity and the enthusiastic crowd shouted them back on stage for two encores. The band then played to a sell-out crowd at a new 650 capacity music venue in Hull in early March. They've taken four more subsequent bookings from this night alone for private parties and nightclubs in Newcastle and Lincolnshire.

The four musicians who make up the Kings of Lyon are no strangers to success in the music industry, having performed together for over seven years in various projects.

They were crowned 'Global Icon Winners 2008'. Global Icon was an online competition sponsored by ‘Sky Television' which featured thousands of bands from all over Europe. The competition was filmed and recorded in Manchester in front of a live voting audience and from this they've received much interest from several record companies.

The Kings of Lyon burst onto the tribute scene at the beginning of this year and were confident from the outset that their show would create quite a stir and they were dead right. What makes the Kings of Lyon so special is that they are still young, have a great sound and are fortunate to have captured the look as well.

The band come equipped with a professional sound engineer who they consider to be the ‘fifth member’ because he has such an accomplished grasp of their sound, a range of top quality sound systems and lighting to suit any venue. The band perform an exciting 90 minute live set encompassing all the hits from the Kings of Leon’s last four albums.

Billy Connolly Tribute Acts: Silly Connolly

Silly Connolly is quite simply the best Billy Connolly tribute act on the planet, he looks like him, behaves like him, sounds like him and entertains audiences like him. His flawless impersonation of the 'Big Yin' is quite astonishing.

Johnny Cash Tribute Bands: Keep It Cash

Keep It Cash are an incredible Johnny Cash tribute band having performed at top theatres throughout the UK and across Europe. They've worked for 20th Century Fox, The National Trust and the BBC.

They were booked by HMV to perform at their stores in London and Dublin for the launch of the Johnny Cash film “Walk The Line”. They wrote and recorded a theme song for the national chain of 'Boyes' stores that ran on television and radio for over a year. The bands success is down to the strong vocal likeness of the lead singer which is very difficult to emulate.

The founding members of 'Keep It Cash' have been close friends for many years and lifelong fans of the music and songs of the legendary Johnny Cash. Dave actually met the great man himself in 1991 backstage when he performed to a capacity crowd at Wembley Arena.
